Hi my name is Tom Stewart. I am a registered herbalist and a professional member of the American Herbalists Guild. I have taught the uses of medicinal herbs at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, NV for 17 years, and have owned and operated Truckee Meadow Herbs retail shop since 1982. Liquid Herbal Extracts
and Tinctures
A liquid herbal extract is a concentrated solution made by extracting (pulling or "washing") the herb's chemical constituents out of the inert herb fiber (cellulose) with a solution of alcohol and water or glycerin and water. A good liquid herbal extract should optimally preserve the aroma, taste and biological activity of the herb from which it is made. We offer a wide variety of commercial grade herbal extracts that are well suited to assist individuals looking for an alternative to traditional over the counter pharmaceuticals.

Essential Oils
An essential oil is a concentrated liquid containing volatile chemical compounds from plants.
